The Polyamory Project for The Sims 3
The Polyamory Project is a challenge for any one interested in romancing more than one Sim.
Polyamory is defined as;
The non-possessive, honest, responsible ethical philosophy and practice of loving multiple people simultaneously. Based on the conscious choice of how many partners one wishes to be involved with, rather than accepting social norms that dictate monogamy as the only acceptable form of love.
What you have to do to start this challenge:
• Create a Sim in CAS – Male or Female with the traits Flirty, Schmoozer, Great Kisser, Friendly and Family Orientated.
• Any Size lot preferably a house/lot that has potential to grow over time.
Notes for this Challenge:
1. This Challenge is 5 Generations long, and must be set to a 90 Day Life Span.
2. Set your own level EASY/INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCE for your own recording purposes EASY - 2 partners INTERMEDIATE – 3 partners ADVANCE - 4 partners
The reasons for this amount of partners, as you need room in your family for children later on.
No Changing of the Households is allowed, as you are not allowed to play the Families from another point of view.
The Project:
Your First Job is to find yourself a potential mate to start this off. Woo them, Romance them and so this partner will become your first legal partner to be married.
The first partner you must marry, any other partners after that you must move them in as MOVE IN’S.
Canvassing the Neighborhood is allowed for your Sim and have children with the Sim in a household that is not your own, but could be a consequence if a future offspring of your Challenge family invites in a future cousin into the Challenge household.
You can do any thing you want in terms of romancing and growing your family. Let life take you over. You can only have children with the partners in your household. Ghost babies aren’t allowed as they would be classed as illegitimate children.
All Sims in your town could be potential partners too, Extra Points will be given if your Sim has a baby with a Sim that is not in your Challenge household.
But be aware your future will progeny will grow on its own if they are not in your Challenge household, so we cannot move in and have lovers with direct family links, so Cousins are forbidden.
You can have as many children as you like providing you keep at least 1 child from your family in your household to move to the next generation. This child must have special Romance material traits like Great Kisser, Commitment Issues, Flirty, etc so they can continue the challenge in the household.
The Challenge Aspect is that you must remember; you must not get caught Woohoo’ing or Trying for a Baby. You will lose points otherwise. You will get points added if you get away with it. This includes traumatising the children with romancing a Sim other than its mother. So be careful.
You must have a child with each partner for this challenge to work.
The Challenge ends once the last child of the 5th Generation is born.
Don’t forget you have to have a child with each partner for it to work!
Points System:
20 Points added once you add the first marriage partner 40 Points added for each multiple partner you move in 20 Points added each child growing up well 10 Points added for the birth of a child that is not in your Challenge household. Note: you must check the newspaper every day till the birth of a child 10 Points added each if a child is given a Romantic trait with out you choosing it 20 Points added if you pull off a successful community out with a partner at a community lot with out partners catching you. 20 Points added if you can successfully manage a relationship with your Dates at Home 30 Points added for a successful Woohoo/Try for Baby in your Challenge household 5 Points added for a successful Woohoo/Try for Baby that is not in your Challenge household. Note: The reason for the low points because of the odds of your sim getting caught woohooing in a household that is not your own is very low. 5 Points added for every successful kiss/flirt/romancing with other partners 15 Points subtracted if you get in a Fight with either a Rival and/or Other Partners 40 Points subtracted if you get caught Woohoo/Try for Baby 10 Points subtracted if you get caught kiss/flirt/romancing with other partners any where whether your in a household or on a Community Lot. 30 Points subtracted if you Marry In a Family Member from another household as Interbreeding is classed as Taboo.
150 Points or under: Monogamy is better for YOU! Don Lothario is better than you. 150 - 200 Points: You are half way capable in loving more. 200 - 300 Points: Good on you keep up the good work! You are starting to understand the concept of Polyamory! 300 Points or more: Sweet as! Hugh Hefner must be spinning! You are a true Polyamorist!
Happy Polyamory’ing !
Have Fun with the Polyamory Project for The Sims 3!
